Late, cold snow season predicted
Late, cold snow season predicted
Longrange forecaster (the “Moonman”) Ken Ring, author of the Predict Weather Almanacs, says this year’s ski season is likely to be cold and long, extending into spring, with some of the heaviest falls late in the season. His recent YouTube blog report, available free from his website, describes the trend of winter seasons between now and 2020. Basically the factors that bring winter cold are going to happen incrementally later in the year in successive years, due to the rotary precession of the moon’s orbits. A lean 2 - 3 year hiatus is approaching after 2011 and 2012, after which good snow seasons will gradually return, and 2017 will probably see the return of bumper snow
